Progress update

The arcade cab Craig's team had worked on the last few weeks is almost finished. This will mean the work will start on my system very soon.

Cab Design

This week I got another shot of a Slimline King cabinet Craig is building up for another customer. The cabinet I have ordered will have a slightly different control panel. My control panel will also include a trackball & arcade spinner.

Arcade Cab Design

Yesterday Craig from Turnarcades sent me a photo of a slimline king cabinet he's finishing of for another customer. I have ordered the same design so the picture gives you an idea as to the design.

Control Panel Artwork

I just spent a few hours designing the artwork for my 4 player control panel. The control panel itself will be made from wood, however I am hoping I can have a lexan top as apparently lexan is as easy to cut as wood. The artwork would go between the wood and the lexan creating a scratch proof top.

Last set of arcade components

Yesterday I received my last set of components for my arcade cabinet. I had to pay £74 in custom charges as the parts came from GrooveyGameGear in the US. This shipment included all my push buttons, LEDWiz control board and arcade spinner.

The players 1-4 buttons are plain white in colour so that the RGB LED's can illuminate the controls in any colour of my choosing when the system is switched on.

The player 1-4 select buttons, admin buttons and coin buttons are clear so I can insert the relevant symbol inside, these will then be illuminated by white & red LED's respectively. The red LED's will illuminate the coin buttons and the white LED's will illuminate the player 1-4 buttons.

Decided on my custom arcade Marquee

This evening I spent half an hour in Photoshop and developed my own Marquee to go in my arcade cabinet. This is the final design I landed on.
